Just Like Me (Alfred A. Knopf, 2020) by Vanessa Brantley-Newton is a picture book of poems for girls. All kinds of girls.
There are lighthearted, serious, happy, sad poems and more. Some rhyme, others don’t. Some are long, some are not. All have beautiful or sweet or silly collage illustrations. My favorite poems in the collection are “Feelings” and “I Am.” I can’t choose just one favorite image–too hard since I love so many.
